Contest Update!

It's official! I'm a Top Ten Finalist in the So You Think You Can Write contest!

Harlequin has narrowed the field, and now I need you to vote for Paradise Found in this last round of competition. Getting to this stage in an incredible accomplishment, but I admit, I would sure love to win the Grand Prize - a two book contract, champagne dinner, a publicist for sixty days, and social media training.

The contest is a yearly event sponsored by Harlequin Books for published and aspiring authors alike. This year there were 471 entries from the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. I'm incredibly honored, and honestly, a bit flabbergasted, to be chosen as one of the best ten entries. Getting published has been a a dream of mine since I was a little girl, the kind of dream that seems so far fetched you don't share it with anyone, but keep tucked in a tiny corner if your mind. I've dreamed about seeing my name on a book the way some people dream about winning the lottery. To be so close is amazing, and I'm hoping to continue on this path, with your help.

I have a sign up for contest reminders and other updates here, or you can follow me on facebook. You can vote once a day, each day, starting tonight and going through the 10th. Please, as they say, vote early and often!

Meanwhile, I'm be biting my nails, soaking up all the wisdom my newly assigned mentors - Senior Editor Gail Chasan and author Amy Woods - can give me, and working on the next book in the series. Feel free to comment on my manuscript on the contest page, on my facebook page,  or right here. I'd love your feedback! Your support, critiques, and encouragement have helped me make it this far. I couldn't have done it without you!
